Hello, Bonjour, Konnichiwa, Hola!

 or in other words....oh hai.

catface&pancakes is a unique range of amigurumi animals, keyrings and badges developed and created by Louise Marritt.

amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll.

My work is very much inspired by the Japanese concept of kawaii, I'm also keen to add my own twist to the traditional art of knitting. You can find a whole host of quirky and unusual animals in the c&p zoo, including pigs, lemurs and red pandas alongside the good old favourites such as rabbits, dogs and bears.
